How often should a high-rise have its stacks cleaned?
Most condominium corporations run kitchen stacks every one to two years and sanitary stacks every two to three. Buildings with a backup history get a shorter interval.
Do residents need to be home?
Usually not. Most of the work is done from the roof vents and the mechanical room. If suite access is needed, the notice says so.
Can this run under a maintenance contract?
Yes. Most of our stack programs run on a property-management contract with the annual date fixed in advance.
